Lifelong Alaskan and a BARF (Born And Raised in Fairbanks)
Business
25 years of experience involving all forms of media advertising, everything including mass merchandising retail promotions, direct mailers, newsprint layout and placement of radio and television advertising campaigns. Most of my business career has been spent on the “buyers” side of the table, but I moved to Clear Channel Radio-Fairbanks in 2004, to the “sellers” side as an Account Manager.
Personal
Married: Wife, Toni
Five kids: Joe, 22; Anna, 21; Zach, 20; Tom, 19; and Mason, 16 (three are in college with one left in high school)
Four dogs: two Golden Retrievers and two Miniature Dachsunds (We gain another dog each time one of kids moves out of the house!)
As a family, we enjoy all the typical Alaskan recreational activities: hunting, camping, fishing, softball or just hanging out on the back deck grilling in the summertime. In the winter months, we can be found supporting our home teams in Fairbanks’ spectator sports.
The coolest thing about my life is that I’m still able to play men’s softball and be in the outfield with one of the boys on each side of me and on the basketball court with them. Their youth and speed makes up for my age and the fact that I’ve lost a couple of steps!
